Free distance learning courses

Hallmark Education, in partnership with a number of FE colleges, are pleased to offer organisations in the early years sector the opportunity for staff members to enrol on one of the following nationally accredited, level 2 courses free of charge*:

• An Introduction to Neuroscience and

Self-Regulation in Early Years • Adverse Childhood Experiences • Behaviour that Challenges • Children and Young People’s Mental Health • Common Childhood Illnesses • Equality and Diversity • Mental Health First Aid • Nutrition and Health • Safeguarding and the Prevent Duty • Understanding Autism

Key features of the programme: • All the courses are fully funded courtesy of the

Education and Skills Funding Agency and/or the European Social Fund. • Courses are available to individuals as well as to

early years organisations. • No need to attend college - study from home.

All courses are delivered on a flexible, distance learning basis over a 4-12 week period (depending upon the number of modules in the individual’s chosen course). • Choice of learning online or via hard copy

workbooks. All provided free of charge. • No end tests – the qualifications are assessed by

completing the assignments provided. • Dedicated college tutor support provided

throughout. • All the qualifications are Ofqual-regulated and

accredited by the awarding body CACHE.

* Funding eligibility criteria: • Candidates must be have been aged 19 or above on 31/8/2021. • Candidates aged 19-23 must already hold a full level 2 qualification. • Candidates must currently reside in England and to have lived here, or within the EU, for the past 3 years. • Please be aware, some regions in England have devolved funding for which we may not have coverage. • Funding is limited and only available for the remainder of the 2021-22 academic year.
