DAVID CHALONER w~s born in Cheshire in 1944. Has had poems in many magazines and in collection, "dark pages slow turns brief salves" ( 1969, Ferry Press, 177 Green Lane, London, S.E.9). His poems are in Children of Albion, and in a forthcoming anthology from Corgi C'mon Everybody, the poetry of dance. Has two collections going through the usual channels at the moment, and is trying to launch another magazine (ONE) with astounding lack of success.
DAVE CUNLIFFE was born in 1941 in Blackburn. Currently editor of Global Tapestry, 'a revolutionary presence'. Writes poetry and theoretics for underground publications, and has several contributions in Resurgence. His published poetry collections are 'Night Book of the Mad' (Screeches), 'Book of Earth' and 'Up against the Global Wall' (BB Bks ). His poetry was in 'Children of Albion' (Penguin) and 'Doves for the Seventies' (Corgi) anthologies. Has survived 'obscenity' prosecution and assault by machine on wheels.
MILES GIBSON-Born: New Forest, 1947. Educated: Yes. Published: Yes, see Review; also articles for Daily Telegraph Magazine. Works: Yes. Married; lives in London.
JOHN HAAG. Published: "The Mirrored Man" (poems - Reading University Press), "The BrineBreather" (poems - KAY AK Press) "Atlantis on $5 a Day" (a novel the Freehand Press). Also a book on wild mushrooms and a full-length children's book called "The Mope", to be published sometime in 1971. ("The best children's book since Lewis Carroll"). At present living in the USA. Another of his poems appeared in our last issue.
LEOPOLD KOHR, a native of Oberndorf, near Salzburg, graduated from the Universities of Vienna and Innsbruck; he left Austria during the dictatorship of Dolfuss and pursued his studies further at the University of Paris and the London School of Economics. He had a varied career-he was a journalist covering the Spanish Civil War, and worked subsequently in a Canadian Gold Mine before re-entering academic life as a teacher in American universities, and later as Professor of Economics and Public Administration at the University of Puerto Rico. This year he has joined the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, as Tutor in Political Science.
