People have often commented that R esurgence is full of opinion, full of theory, full of philosophy and there is little of practical interest. My answer has been that there a re a number of magazines devoted to practical m a tte rs . The scope of Resurgence is not how to do but why to do. Nevertheless we have given over a large section of this issue to the p e r so nal experiences of some of those who have stood out against the mainstream. And we would like to publish more a r tic le s of how people have made their own alternatives in their lives and work.
