Approved by the Ministry of Defence in support of

Directed by Professor Lloyd Clark, one of Britain’s leading authorities in modern warfare, this one-year course, starting in October 2012, examines major themes in modern military history and contemporary warfare.

Teaching is based in central London, with participants free to undertake independent research under expert supervision on a topic of their choice, within the range of the programme. Assessment is by a dissertation of 20,000 words.

A central feature of the programme is its celebrated series of evening seminars and post-seminar dinners, at the Cavalry & Guards Club, Piccadilly, at which participants can engage in general discussion with the speakers.
